Muscat’s benchmark rises 0.22% in midsession

Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index gained 0.22% or 11.70 points to the level of 5,417.91 points in mid trading on Sunday.

Trading volume hit 5.6 million shares exchanged at OMR 676,190 shares through 208 trades.

Gaining 0.51%, the financial sector was the biggest riser, followed by the services and industrial sectors which went up 0.31% and 0.12%, respectively. The red list was empty.

Trading saw 11 shares being exchanged, seven of which moved up and the other four remained flat.

Oman Investments was the best performer with a growth of 5.56%, followed by Alizz Islamic Bank with 4.69%.

The benchmark index closed Thursday with a decline of 0.70% to 5,406.22 points.
