Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Sunday on a positive note, as the main index, MSM 30, gained 110.2 points or 2.20% in early trading, reaching the level of 5,126.72 points.
Trading volume reached 9.6 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.9 million after 369 transactions were carried out.
the financial, industrial and services sectors advanced 3.94%, 0.65% and 0.26%, respectively.
While the negative column was empty, 16 shares moved up and five others stood at the same rates.
Bank Sohar rose topped risers after adding 10%, followed by Al Anwar Holding and Galfar Engineering & Contracting which rose 8.50% and 7.69%, respectively.
The main gauge closed Thursday with a rise of 1.26% or 62.53 points to 5,016.51 points.
