Mubasher: Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) and Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to boost mutual collaboration in the fields of maritime transport and ports.
Signing the deal comes after talks held between Qatari Transport and Communications Minister Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Omelyan.
Under the MoC, both entities will exchange their expertise in this vital industry, in addition to launching new navigation routes and investment opportunities in seaports.
Both Captain Abdulla Al Khanji, CEO of Mwani Qatar, and USPA head Raivis Veckagans signed the MoC in the presence of the two ministers and Aisha Mohamed Al-Ghaffari, charge d'Affaires of the Qatar Embassy in Ukraine.
The agreement aims to establish cooperation and active alliances between the two countries in the maritime works.
Moreover, the two parties discussed cooperation in the aviation industry, potential investment cooperation in the field and a number of f common interest matters.
