Cairo - Mubasher: The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) succeeded in arranging 17 syndicated loans in 2015, totaling nearly EGP 65 billion, according to NBE Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Montasser.
NBE contributed by 35% or EGP 23 billion in these 17 syndicated loans.
The credit facilities have been directed towards financing projects within different sectors, topped by the electricity sector with EGP 30.8 billion.
The petroleum sector came in second place with EGP 14.8 billion, followed by the contracting sector and transportation sector with EGP 9.45 billion and EGP 7.8 billion respectively.
