Cairo – Mubasher: The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) continues to offer the new 15% annual yield savings certificates, the lender’s vice chairman Yehia Aboul Fotouh told the Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Wednesday.
Launching new certificates with an annual yield of 14% doesn’t mean that the 15%-yield certificates would be cancelled, Aboul Fotouh noted.
Since being launched on 22 March, NBE and Banque Misr have sold EGP 105 billion of the 15%-yield certificates, with NBE selling EGP 75 billion worth of these certificates alone, he pointed out.
