Cairo – Mubasher: The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has denied reports that e-payment systems have been hacked.
The state-owned lender has sent customers SMS messages, notifying them to keep their passwords and any identification data secret to secure their financial transactions, according to a statement on Wednesday.
NBE stressed on the importance of expanding into e-payment solutions, noting that online transactions should only be conducted on secure websites.
