Cairo – Mubasher: The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has financed 64.8% of the first phase of Roxy Garage project, the first fully mechanised, electronic garage in Egypt and the Middle East.
The bank injected around EGP 162 million in the first phase, from a total cost of EGP 250 million, according to NBE’s recent statement.
The first phase has a capacity of 900 cars.
The garage is equipped with six robots to park vehicles, transferring them from the inside to the outside and vice versa.
It also contains 12 electronic elevators that will examine the cars once they are standing on them.
In November 2018, Egypt announced launching a futuristic hydraulic car parking system to be inaugurated in the Roxy area of Masr El Gedida under the name of “Roxy Garage”
