Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has decided to impose a fine of EGP 10 million on Vodafone Egypt, for the first time ever.
The fine was imposed due to a service outage for several hours on 3 June before Eid Al Fitr holiday, NTRA said in a statement on Monday.
Subscribers have to be compensated for this outage, NTRA added.
In addition, the telecom operator will have to inform NTRA with any measures to be implemented in the future to avoid this issue.
