Dubai – Mubasher: Property developer Nakheel has awarded an AED 66 million contract to deliver and operate its 12,000 square metres choreographed fountain at The Pointe to China’s Beijing Water Design.
Operated by Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of the Dubai-based developer, The Pointe is an AED 800 million waterfront dining and entertainment destination located on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.
“Palm Jumeirah, our flagship project, is already one of the most popular, sought-after destinations for Dubai’s residents and tourists,” Nakheel’s chairman Ali Rashid Lootah commented.
The Pointe comprises about 70 restaurants, shops, and attractions – along with a cinema, children’s play area, supermarket, gyms, and beauty salons.
“Today’s signing is a major milestone for The Pointe, as it means work on its centrepiece – the fountain – is now underway, and we are one step closer to delivering this eagerly-anticipated destination,” Lootah said.
