Dubai – Mubasher: Nakheel has welcomed the opening of the first phase of an AED 400 million roads project at International City by the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA).
Funded by Nakheel at total investments of AED 201 million, the project will help improve the flow of traffic and reduce travel times, the Dubai-based developer said in a statement released Sunday.
“We thank the RTA for its ongoing co-operation and support for transport links at our communities,” Nakheel’s chairman Ali Rashid Lootah commented.
The roads project includes road widening, new interchanges, and signalised junctions around Dragon City, International City, and Warsan Village, the UAE-based developer said.
“This project is essential to the overall, long-term master plan at International City, bringing major benefits to existing residents, business owners, and visitors in the short term, and paving the way for the future growth of the area,” Lootah said.
