Nakheel inaugurates Jumeirah Islands Pavilion

Dubai – Mubasher: Nakheel has officially launched its waterfront retail Pavilion at the AED 450 million Jumeirah Islands Townhouses community, according to a statement on Thursday.

The 1.1-kilometre shopping and dining hub is Nakheel’s fifth community retail centre, serving 8,000 residents via 14 new shops, restaurants, and cafés, the company stated.

Jumeirah Islands Townhouses has handed over 25 properties up until now, and is accompanied by 30,000 square feet of shop space.

Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah said: “Today marks the delivery of Pavilion number five in our growing collection of community centres, which are key to our AED16 billion retail expansion.”

Nakheel’s current and future retail developments have 17 million square feet of retail space between them, with over 4 million square feet already in operation, according to the statement.

Among the upcoming projects is the AED 6.1 billion Deira Mall for which a construction contract worth AED 4.2 billion was awarded earlier this week.
