Dubai-Mubasher: Nakheel began working on a 20-tower community worth AED 5 billion at Deira Islands, according to a press release.
The new community will include 16 residential buildings, two hotels and two serviced apartment complexes.
Nakheel appointed consultants AE7 to oversee the design, engineering and construction supervision of the project, which is set for delivery in Q2-20.
A construction tender will be released in Q1-17, the statement highlighted.
“Set on an area spanning nine million sq ft – the size of 118 international-standard football fields – the 20 towers at Deira Islands Boulevard will surround Deira Mall, Nakheel’s 6.5 million sq ft shopping, dining and leisure destination,” the company said, adding that “between them, they will contain nearly 2,900 apartments and townhouses for lease as well as around 1,000 hotel rooms and serviced apartments”.
