Dubai-Mubasher: Nakheel signed a management agreement with the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide to operate a new St. Regis property in Dubai.
The St. Regis Dubai - The Palm will be a part of Palm Tower and is scheduled to open in 2018.
The hotel will offer 289 guest rooms of which 23 suites, while the upper floors will include 504 luxury apartments, said a statement issued by Nakheel.
Nakheel added that the hotel will have panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline.
"Our partnership with Starwood to open a St. Regis on the Palm reinforces what the island is all about, that is unrivalled, world-class facilities that set new standards for residents and tourists on the new venture,” said Nakheel Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah.
Palm Monorail, which is linked to the Dubai Tram and Dubai Metro, will be easily reached, added Nakheel.
"The continued growth of the St. Regis brand in the UAE underpins our commitment to Starwood’s luxury portfolio in this dynamic market," said Neil George, senior VP (Acquisitions & Development) Starwood Hotels & Resorts Middle East and Africa.
Nakheel clarified that the brand will enter Jordan with ‘The St. Regis Amman’ in 2016, while in 2018 it will open the brand’s first polo resort ‘The St. Regis Dubai Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club’.
