Riyadh-Mubasher: Nama Chemicals Co. said its subsidiary Jubail Chemical Industries Co. (JANA) seeks to cut power consumption and carbon emissions through replacing the electrolysis system at its chlorine plant.
Japan's ministry of environment gave the green light for the he project which was submitted by JANA and Japan-based Kanematsu Corp.
The project implementation will begin in the third quarter of 2016, and the relevant financial impact is expected to be reflected in H2-17 financials.
The ministry will finance 50% maximum of the project cost under the joint crediting mechanism (JCM) system.
