Dubai – Mubasher: Nasdaq Dubai’s equity futures market witnessed an increased activity in its second months, according to a statement.
Around 103,393 contracts traded in October, up 567% from 15,508 in September.
The market saw single stock futures contracts on seven UAE-listed companies: Aldar Properties, Arabtec Holding, DP World, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), DXB Entertainments, Emaar Properties and Etisalat. In addition, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Union Properties were added on 23 October.
Emaar futures have been the most heavily traded by value since the market opened, followed by DXB Entertainments and Aldar.
Al Ramz Capital was the most active broker, followed by Menacorp and Mubasher.
An average of 8,100 contracts traded in the last 10 trading days of October, up 1,300% from an average of 566 contracts in the same period of September.
