Cairo – Mubasher: Nasser Social Bank (NSB) reported a 47% year-on-year profit increase during fiscal year 2018/2019, the bank’s chairman and the Egyptian minister of social solidarity, Ghada Waly, said.
The bank recorded a profit of EGP 1.08 billion in the twelve-month period ended 30 June, compared to EGP 736 million in the year-ago period, Waly revealed in a statement.
NSB’s budget grew by EGP 1.93 billion year-on-year to EGP 17.87 billion in FY18/19, she added.
In addition, aids valued at EGP 55.4 million were granted to 57,794 beneficiaries, while free-interest loans worth EGP 393.3 million were offered to 43,680 low-income people, Waly noted.
