National Leasing profit hikes 74% in Q1-18

Mubasher:  National Leasing Holding Company (Al Ijarah) on Thursday posted a 74.3% year-on-year surge in its profits for the first quarter of 2018.

Profits amounted to QAR 1.2 million in Q1-18, compared to QAR 712,400 in the same quarter a year earlier, according to the company’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).

Earnings per share (EPS) rose to QAR 0.3 per share for the three-month period ended 31 March 2018 versus QAR 0.01 for the same period of the prior year.

Al Ijarah attributed the increase in profits to the rise in revenues by 5.2% to QAR 40.7 million in Q1-18 from QAR 38.7 million in the same period the year before.

Moreover, the company’s board approved distributing a cash dividend of QAR 0.5 per share, representing 5% of the share’s nominal value.

By the end of Thursday’s session, Al Ijarah’s stock declined 0.19% at QAR 10.38.
