Nebras Power acquires ENGIE’s stake in Indonesia’s Paiton

Doha - Mubasher: Nebras Power Company, the investment arm of Qatar Electricity and Water Company entered into an agreement to acquire the 35.5% stake held by France’s ENGIE in Indonesia’s independent power producer PT Paiton Energy, according to QNA on Saturday.

Nebras Power added that its acquisition will provide it with the opportunity to enter the Indonesian energy market, which is considered a key market in South-East Asia.

The company’s a capital amounts to QAR3.650 billion invested globally in new and existing projects, or through the acquisition of electric power generation projects, desalination and water treatment, as well as cooling and heating projects, according to the company’s website.
