Nestlé Saudi Arabia, MODON host food safety awareness initiative for industrial workers

Riyadh - Mubasher: Nestlé Saudi Arabia partnered with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) to mark World Food Safety Day through an awareness initiative hosted at its factory in Jeddah’s Third Industrial City.

The event gathered more than 80 participants to promote food safety practices, encourage responsible manufacturing, and enhance awareness across the industrial sector, according to a press release.

The initiative included 25 representatives from food manufacturing facilities and focused on raising awareness of food safety concepts, strengthening compliance, and encouraging the exchange of expertise among industry professionals.

Moreover, the event highlighted the role of public-private sector collaboration in supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of advancing the industrial sector and improving quality of life.

Ali Achbab, Factory Manager at Nestlé Saudi Arabia, said: "Food safety is a cornerstone of all our operations, and we believe that sharing knowledge and expertise with industry professionals helps establish more informed and efficient manufacturing practices and supports the creation of an industrial environment that is more committed to safety and quality."

The program featured a specialized session on food safety risks, their potential impact, and preventive measures through the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system.

Nestlé and MODON said the partnership reflects their commitment to expanding awareness programs and promoting best practices across industrial facilities to foster a more efficient, compliant, and sustainable manufacturing sector.
