Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi General Services (Musanada) inaugurated on Tuesday the first phase of new road connecting Abu Dhabi and Dubai worth AED 1.3 billion.
The project will be developed in three phases estimated at a total value of AED 2.1 billion, Musanada’s acting roads director Hamdan Al Mazrouei told journalists on the sidelines of a press conference.
Construction works started in the first quarter of 2014 and ended in November 2016. The highway is considered as one of the biggest and most important infrastructure projects executed by the government of Abu Dhabi.
he 62-kilometre highway consists of four lanes in either direction, and can carry up to 8,000 vehicles per hour.
