Cairo – Mubasher: The New Urban Communities Authority has approved an EGP 16.5 billion budget in the fiscal year 2018/2019 for the New Cairo's Government Office, head of the office Mostafa Fahmy said.
The projects of 'Sakan Misr' and 'Dar Misr' have acquired EGP 10 billion of the next fiscal year’s budget to build 23,000 housing units, Fahmy highlighted.
A 160-megawatt power plant is currently being implemented to feed the city’s industrial zones for 20 years, he mentioned, adding that another 160-megawatt power plant is being executed to feed housing projects, according to Shorouk newspaper.
The office is working on expanding the city’s road, such as El Teseen street, to be the main hub that connects New Cairo with the New Administrative Capital, Fahmy noted.
