UAE – Mubasher: The largest investment platform in the world, Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China Venture Capital Research Institute (CVCRI).
Within the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), investment opportunities will be enhanced by sharing resources under this joint long-term strategic, a press release on Tuesday revealed.
Furthermore, the signed agreement is expected to attract Chinese venture capitalists and private equities that target a path for investment opportunities in different across the globe.
With over 120 attending delegates from venture capitals and technology corporates and in the presence of top officials from both sides, this partnership was signed between AIM’s director general, Walid Farghal, and Jihong Ding, President of CVCRI which was established in 2003
Upon this MoU, international and local investors in the UAE can now network and establish business partnerships with top Chinese venture capitalists and firms seeking new avenues of investments within BRI on the sidelines of AIM.
UAE’s Walid Farghal commented, “UAE-China ties are set for next level with the recently signed agreements in several key sectors like space, construction, tourism, healthcare, clean energy, oil and environment.”
Meanwhile, China’s Jihong Ding said, “We are expecting 500 top venture capitalists and private equities to attend the upcoming 10th edition of AIM, which includes a special One Belt One Road (OBOR) event aimed at helping investors in identifying potential investment opportunities within the BRI.”
