Mubasher: Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 1.48% or 286.03 points to close at 19,604.61 points on Friday, amid wide selloff in global government bonds market.
The broader Topix index also added 1.24% to 1,574.01 points.
The yen slipped 0.11% to reach 113.38 per dollar by 7:03am GMT.
The Shanghai composite index fell 0.05% to reach 3,428.68 points by 7:00am GMT. In addition, the Hang Seng index declined 0.18% to stand at 22,544.6 points.
