Mubasher: The Nikkei share average ended Friday's session on a lower note, extending the decline to the second successive week.
The index lost 0.54% to close at 17,147 points. The broader index Topix index shed 0.3% to 1,402.45 points.
JPX-Nikkei Index 400 declined 0.3% to 12,623.93.
