Cairo – Mubasher: Prices of gasoline and diesel fuel at filling stations will not increase after the Egyptian parliament approved new fees on Monday, the finance minister Mohamed Maait said.
The parliament approved a draft amendment to impose a state development fee of EGP 0.30 per litre of gasoline and EGP 0.25 per litre of diesel, Maait added in a statement.
The new fees are already included in the prices and citizens will not bear any new costs. The amendment involves accounting adjustments between the finance and the petroleum ministries.
