Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’s (SAMA) governor said that there no more mergers in the Saudi banking sector.
Ahmed al-Kholifey added that he had met officials from French bank Credit Agricole but had not received a request for approval to sell the bank’s 31% stake in Banque Saudi Fransi, Reuters reported on Thursday.
SAMA adopts an open policy on foreign banks seeking to open new branches in the Kingdom, al-Kholifey highlighted.
