Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corporation's (SABIC) CEO said that there are no mutual petrochemical projects for the company in Qatar.
SABIC’s CEO, Yousef Abdullah Al-Benyan, added to Alriyadh Newspaper on Friday that the Qatari market will lose 1,800 metric tonnes of SABIC products of polymers, which is a tiny volume and do not represent any percentage of SABIC’s total production.
The CEO noted that the company focused on its cooperation in huge petrochemical strategic projects in Bahrain, including projects with Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co (GPIC) and Aluminum Bahrain (ALBA).
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Bahrain had cut their diplomatic relations with Qatar on Monday.
