Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: There are no current plans to offer the shares of government companies through an initial public offering (IPO), according to the UAE economy minister Sultan Al Mansouri.

However, there is a possibility of future share sales in the companies on bourses, Al Mansouri added.

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is planning to sell shares in an IPO this year, Bloomberg had reported earlier.

In addition, Emirates NBD (ENBD) has announced its intention to offer shares in its Islamic REIT, according to a statement.
