Non-Qataris end 4-day selling streak Monday

Mubasher: Non-Qatari trades on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) directed to buying on Monday, ending a four-day selling streak, despite the fall of the bourse on local selling.

By the end of the second session of this week, foreign and Gulf investors were net buyers with QAR 18.15 million and QAR 3.33 million, respectively, while local traders were net sellers with QAR 21.48 million.

The QSE ended Monday in the red for the fourth consecutive session after the general index levelled down 0.47%.

The bourse’s liquidity went down to QAR 158.74 million from QAR 198.83 million on Sunday, while the trading volume dropped to 6.78 million shares against 11.59 million in the previous session.

Market capitalisation declined 0.5% to QAR 479.53 billion from QAR 482.16 billion on Sunday.
