UAE – Mubasher: The total amount of non-oil trade exchange between the UAE and Italy has exceeded $7.8 billion during 2017, the UAE economy minister Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori said.
The trade exchange between the two countries has registered an amount more than $5.7 billion over the first nine months of 2018, with an increase of 7.7% in the UAE's exports to Italy when compared to the corresponding period in 2017, the UAE official concluded, during the UAE-Italy Business Forum.
Two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed in the fields of innovation, SMEs, Start-ups, and the circular economy, on the sidelines of the joint event, which was held in Dubai, in the presence of Luigi Di Maio, the Italian deputy prime minister and the minister of economic development, labour, and social policies.
Al Mansoori highlighted that the UAE is the largest Arab trading partner of Italy, while Italy is ranked as the fourth largest European partner of the UAE and the second largest exporter from Europe, according to data in 2017.
