Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is building 500-kilovolt (KV) overhead power lines with a capacity of up to 750 megawatts (MW) in North Sinai, minister of electricity Mohamed Shaker said.
The overhead power lines will be extending for 330 kilometres, Shaker added in a statement on Tuesday.
The estimated cost of supporting the electricity transmission network in North Sinai amounts to EGP 4.8 billion.
