Mubasher: OPEC said Monday that oil supplies from non-member countries are expected to rise in 2017, according to a monthly report.

New fields come online and US shale drillers prove more resilient than expected to cheap crude.

OPEC output stabilised near a multi-year high in August, reaching 33.24 million barrel per day (bpd), according to figures OPEC collects from secondary sources.

With demand for OPEC crude in 2017 expected to average 32.48 million bpd, the report noted.
