Cairo- Mubasher: Orascom Telecom Media and Technology (OTMT) has no relation with Naguib Sawiris’ expected acquisition of a Brazilian telecom company, OTMT investor relations officer Marawan Hassan told Mubasher.
Egyptian tycoon and OTMT chairman Naguib Sawiris plans to present a purchasing offer to a Brazilian telecom company, according to Brazilian press coverage.
OTMT operates in Egypt, North Korea, Pakistan, Lebanon and other countries in North Africa and the Middle East.
In November, OTMT acquired Beltone Financial, while it met obstacles in completing the buyout of CI Capital.
