Oil continues rise on expected stronger demand

Dubai – Mubasher: Global oil prices rose on Thursday, continuing with their positive performance amid expectations of stronger demand for crude to above 1 million barrel per day.

Saudi Arabia’s Oil Minister Ali Al-Naimi said Thursday in an energy summit in Bahraini capital that future investments in oil should continue to fulfill projected increase in global demand.

At 8:15 GMT, crude prices rose by 0.54% to $42.16 bpd, which is the lowest level in six years. Brent also rose by 0.75% to $44.45 bpd to extend a positive performance to the second successive day.
