Oil output seen to freeze at February’s level – Kuwait OPEC governor

By: Ahmad Awad

Kuwait-Mubasher: There are positive indicators suggesting an agreement could be closed between oil producers inside and outside OPEC to maintain the current production, said Kuwait’s OPEC governor Nawal Al-Fuzaia.

Producers are clearly interested in fixing production at February levels once an agreement is reached during the anticipated meeting on 17 April in Doha, Al-Fuzaia said on the sidelines of a forum held Tuesday.

Oil prices are projected to stabilise between $45 and $60 in the second half of 2016, the governor said.

He clarified that the current obstacle is not in Iran’s increasing production, but in the country’s ability to sell its output amid current oversupply in the markets.
