Oil prices down amid renewed fears of oversupply

Mubasher: Oil futures fell in Asian early trades, amid renewed worries of global oversupply after global oversupply OPEC rose in March.

Brent crude futures fell 0.8% to $38.94 a barrel by 7:00am GMT.

Crude output from OPEC rose to 32.47 million bpd in March from 32.37 million bpd in February.

Crude futures were weighed down at open by recent data released by OPEC, which came contrary to expectations of a possible output freeze to be discussed in the meeting of oil producers on 17 April in Doha.

US crude declined 1.2% to $37.86 per barrel.

US crude stockpiles rose by 2.3 million barrels to in the week ended 25 March.
