Mubasher: Crude oil futures closed the week ended Friday on a mixed note, as the prices of NYMEX West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude went up by 1% to $50.85 per barrel (pb), while Brent crude decreased 0.3% to reach $51.78 pb.
Meanwhile, US oil rigs continued its rise for the 17th week in a row, amid the recovery of oil prices above $50, according to a report by Baker Hughes issued on Friday.
