Oil prices rise amid anticipation of oversupply

Mubasher: Oil prices rose on Monday on anticipation of the current oversupply talks between OPEC member and non-members.

Brent increased by 1.03% to $34.41 a barrel in early trading, while crude rose by 0.8% to $31.15.

Technical analyst Ahmed Karam told Mubasher that oil price rise is normal after Saudi oil minister's statement about output.

Al-Naimi said discussions with his Venezuelan counterpart on Sunday were successful and conducted in a positive atmosphere, the kingdom's news agency reported.

Venezuela's Oil Minister Eulogio Del Pino is on a tour of oil producers to lobby for action to prop up prices.
