Oil supply could halve on output freeze agreement – official

Mubasher: Crude oil supply is expected to halve if the agreement to freeze oil output succeeds, Russia's Interfax news agency reported, citing Deputy Energy Minister Alexey Texler.

On the sidelines of an economic conference in Siberia, Texler said even without Iran there will be an effect from the agreement. "But Iran ... might also be interested in such a deal," he added.

Oil ministers of Saudi Arabia, Russia and Venezuela earlier agreed to ‎lock up their production levels at last January levels.
