Mubasher: A subsidiary of Oman Oil Company has signed five agreements with Thailand’s Gulf Energy Development to build the Duqm power and water plant.
With estimated investments of $480 million (OMR 184.77 million), the new plant will produce 326 megawatts of electricity and 36,000 cubic metres per day of water, according to the Oman News Agency (ONA).
Duqm plant is expected to be operational in 2020.
