Riyadh – Mubasher: Oman delayed announcing the winner of the third mobile phone licence to 30 November 2017, according to Alarabiya.net, citing sources as saying.
The winner should have been announced on 4 September, as declared by the three competing companies Mobile Telecommunications Company (Zain), Saudi Telecom Company (STC), and Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat).
Two mobile phone companies are currently operating in Oman, namely Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) and Ooredoo Oman.
