Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market opened Wednesday’s trading in green as its benchmark MSM 30 index rose 0.27% or 15.34 points to the level of 5,730.21 points.
By 11:11am Muscat time, turnover amounted to OMR 843,710 as 3.79 million shares exchanged through 224 transactions.
The financial sector levelled up 0.58%, backed by a rise of 4.32% in Ahli Bank, the best performing stock, 0.52% in Al Anwar Holdings and 1.82% in Al Madina Investment.
The industrial sector increased 0.18% as Al Anwar Ceramic, Gulf International Chemicals and Oman Fisheries advanced 0.82%, 0.37% and 3.23% respectively.
On the other hand, the services sector fell 0.06% due to a 0.66% drop in Omantel.
