Oman oil production records 359m barrels in 2015

Mubasher: Oman’s crude oil and condensates production reached 358.97 million barrels in 2015, with a daily average of 981,090 barrels, according to Oman News Agency.

The total quantity of crude oil exports came to about 308.13 million barrels in 2015 and 844,200 barrels per day, Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas said in its report.

The ministry’s statistics clarified that the average price of the Omani oil reached $56.45 last year.

The report also showed a rise of 1.12% month-on-month in crude oil and condensates production in December 2015, as it reached 31.21 million barrels and about one million barrels a day. 

The total quantity of oil exports rose 0.77% m/m to 25.65 million barrels, with a daily average of 826,500 barrels.

Exports to China were up 0.69% m/m, making up 68.16% of Oman’s total crude oil shipments.

Meanwhile, Taiwan and South Korea in December 2015, as they dropped by 5.30% and 2.24% m/m respectively,

Exports to India, Thailand and Japan climbed 3.85%, 1.98% and 0.03% m/m, respectively. The report also noted that Australia imported crude oil from Oman in December.
