Mubasher: Oman's GDP reached OMR 20.8 billion ($52 billion) at the end of the third quarter of 2015, down 14.2% compared with OMR 23.4 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to official data released by the National Center for Statistics and Information.
The decline was due to a 38.5% fall in the added value of oil business, against a 4.7% rise in the added value of non-oil businesses.
Oil business reached OMR 6.9 billion in Q3, compared with SAR 11.2 billion in the same period of 2014, the sultanate's news agency reported.
Crude accounted for around OMR 6.3 billion of oil business, falling 42.7% compared with OMR 10.5 billion in Q3-14.
