Mubasher: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) issued on Tuesday treasury bills worth OMR 15.8 million ($41.03 million).
The average accepted price reached OMR 99.942 ($259.56) for each OMR 100 ($259.71), while the minimum accepted price came to OMR 99.94 ($259.55) per OMR 100 ($259.71), with an average yield of 0.76196%.
The interest rate on the Repo operations with CBO is 1% in the period between 15 and 21 March, the discount rate on the treasury bills discounting facility reached 1.75% for the same period.
The treasury bills are short-term highly secured financial instruments issued by the CBO on behalf of the government, which helps the licensed commercial banks, according to the bank’s statement.
