Oman’s inflation eases 0.07% in Feb.

Mubasher: Oman’s consumer price index (CPI) for February decreased 0.07% month-on-month, compared to a rise of 0.1% in January, according to Oman News Agency citing a report by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The report attributed the fall in the CPI to drop in the food and non-alcoholic beverages and clothing and footwear groups by 1.36% and 0.05% respectively.

However, the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group rose 0.03%, transportation group leapt 1.32%, while healthcare, education and telecom groups stood at the same rates.
