Mubasher: Oman’s oil refineries and petroleum industries put out less petrol production in January 2016 as it dropped 12.9% year-over-year to 6.07 million barrels from 6.97 million, said National Center for Statistics and Information.
The production of regular 90 petrol jumped 74.3% to 389,700 barrels, compared with 223,500 barrels in the same period during 2015. Unlike, the output of super (95) plunged 17.5% year-on-year to 1.46 million barrels from 1.77 million barrels. Meanwhile, aviation fuel output significantly increased 11.3% to 436,400 barrels from 392,100.
Diesel production fell 8.3% to 1.6 million barrels last month, compared with 1.775 million barrels in January 2015.
Fuel oil also dipped 81.4% to 29,000 barrels, while liquefied petroleum gas output shrank 46 % to 152,300 barrels.
In general, the production of other petroleum products declined 73.1% year-over-year to 31,700 barrels from 117,900 a year earlier.
