Mubasher: Oman’s real estate deals rose by 43.2 year-on-year to OMR 3.8 billion by the end of November 2015, according to a report released today by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The collected fees for all legal actions hit OMR 44.3 million, with a rise of 18.8%, the traded value of sales also increased by 12.7% to OMR 1.22 billion.
However, the number of sales fell by 0.5% to 73,700 contracts in the January-November period of this year, compared to 74,050 contracts in the same period last year.
Mortgage contracts soared by 64.3% y/y to OMR 2.56 billion for the period, versus OMR 1.56 billion a year ago.
Also, swap contracts recorded a 72.9% y/y increase to OMR 18.2 million by the end of October, compared to OMR 10.5 million in the same period of 2014.
The number of swap contracts leapt too by 22.4% y/y to 1,200 in the above mentioned period, against 1,010 contracts last year.
