Oman’s trade balance surplus retreats 71% in Q3

Mubasher: Oman’s Balance of Trade’s (BOT) surplus declined 71.2% year-on-year in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2015, amid a fall in the oil exports value due to the drop in oil prices, according to a report by Omani National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The report, released on Saturday, said the surplus decreased 33.1% to OMR 2.51 billion ($6.52 billion) in the first nine months of 2015, compared to OMR 10.4 billion ($27.01billion) in the same period of 2014.
