Oman signs oil exploration deal with Eni

Mubasher: Oman’s ministry of oil and gas on Monday signed an agreement with the Italian oil major Eni for oil exploration and production.

The deal covers exploration in concession area 47 in Oman, the biggest Arab producer outside of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Reuters reported citing Oman Oil Company as saying in a tweet.

Eni also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bahrain’s National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) to start its drilling activities in the Gulf nation’s northern maritime bloc.
